Dear Colleagues and Hyperthermia friends,
we warmly invite you to the 37th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Hyperthermic Oncology (ESHO), taking place from October 4th to 6th 2026 in Erlangen, Germany.
We are truly delighted to host this distinguished gathering of experts, scientist, clinicians, and innovators from around the world in a city where science, tradition, and innovation converge. At the Department of Radiation Oncology of Universitätsklinikum Erlangen, hyperthermia has a long and remarkable tradition. Patients are treated within the framework of clinical studies using multimodal therapy approaches. Quality-controlled hyperthermia is employed whenever it is clinically meaningful, supported by scientific evidence, and most importantly beneficial to our patients.
Erlangen stands at the crossroads of excellence and collaboration. As part of the Medical Valley EMN e. V., one of the leading international clusters in healthcare management and medical technology, the city of Erlangen offers a vibrant ecosystem that bridges research, industry, and patient care. We are also proud to be part of the Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen–Nürnberg (FAU), one of Germany’s 15 largest universities, with around 40,000 students and over 300 degree programs across five faculties. Together with the Universitätsklinikum Erlangen, FAU fosters cutting-edge research and world-class clinical expertise that drive innovation in medicine and beyond.
Erlangen has long been a place defined by openness and exchange. True to its motto, “Open by tradition,” the city’s welcoming spirit dates back to the 17th century, when the Huguenots arrived seeking freedom and opportunity. Today, that same spirit continues to inspire our commitment to progress, knowledge, and collaboration across borders.
We invite you to enjoy not only the engaging scientific program of the 37th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Hyperthermic Oncology, but also the unique atmosphere of our city. We look forward to two days full of discussions, interdisciplinary exchange and innovative approaches of hyperthermia treatment. We hope you will visit us at this conference and help make ESHO2026 a starting point for new exciting ideas and concepts for the benefit of patients.
We look forward to welcoming you next year in Erlangen, to a conference that celebrates the power of science, innovation and collaboration.
